Chauffeur Hire in Sofia — Hourly and Full-Day

Chauffeur will wait 15 minutes free of charge.

A private chauffeur in Sofia for a few hours or a full day. Mercedes EQE, EQS and EQV, a fixed price agreed before you set off, booking at least 3 hours ahead.

Hiring a chauffeur means the car and the driver stay at your disposal for a set period — two hours, half a day, a full day — instead of paying separately for each point-to-point journey. You say when the engagement starts and where, and during that time you move between addresses without looking for a car again and again and without explaining the route every time.

LuxLane works this way in Sofia: a fixed price, agreed before you set off, for the car and not per passenger. No meter, no surcharge for waiting outside the office or the restaurant for as long as the agreed period runs.

When hourly hire makes more sense than separate transfers

The simple rule: if your day has more than two or three stops, or if there are waits of 30 to 90 minutes between them, hourly hire is usually more convenient and more predictable.

  • A business day with several meetings — Business Park Mladost, the centre, Capital Fort, then the airport. Luggage and laptops stay in the car.
  • Hosting a delegation — one car follows the group all day, instead of arranging transport for every move.
  • Property or site viewings — the addresses change, the schedule stretches, the route is decided as you go.
  • An evening in town — restaurant, theatre, then home, without the question of who is driving.
  • A wedding or a prom — the car is engaged for the whole occasion, including the wait between the church and the restaurant.
  • Sightseeing in Sofia and around it — Boyana Church, Vitosha, Rila Monastery, Plovdiv in a day.

If there is only one journey — airport to hotel and back — a separate transfer is the better and cheaper fit. Hourly hire makes sense when you are paying for availability, not for kilometres.

How to book

  1. Fill in the booking form with the date, the start time and the pick-up point in Sofia.
  2. State how many hours you need the car for and, if you know them, the main addresses.
  3. You get a fixed price before you confirm. It is calculated by the system from the details you enter.
  4. You confirm. The booking must be made at least 3 hours before the pick-up time.

Changes or cancellation free of charge are possible up to 12 hours before the agreed pick-up time. If the meeting shifts by a day or the time changes, let us know within that window and we will rewrite the booking.

Online booking starts from a point in Sofia. For an engagement that begins in another city, send an enquiry and you will get a quote by arrangement.

Cars

Three electric Mercedes classes can be booked online:

  • EQE — for one or two passengers, the typical choice for a business day in the city.
  • EQS — more room in the back and a quieter cabin, suitable when you work or hold conversations in the car.
  • EQV — a van with up to seven seats, for teams, families and days with a lot of luggage or equipment.

On request, outside the online form, we have S-Class, Maybach, V-Class, G-Class and Rolls-Royce. These are arranged for long transfers, weddings and proms. For them, write to us directly with the date, time and duration — availability is confirmed individually, which is why we do not promise them at the last minute.

What the price includes

The price is for the car for the agreed period, not per passenger. It covers the driver, fuel or charging, insurance, parking along the route and waiting between stops within the period.

There is no meter and no bill that grows in traffic. If congestion on Tsarigradsko Shose holds you up, that does not change the agreed sum.

You get the specific figure from the booking form before you confirm — it depends on the class of car, the duration and whether the route leaves Sofia. That is why no rate is printed on this page: it would contradict the actual calculation.

How a day with a chauffeur works

The driver arrives at the stated address before the start time. The luggage is loaded and you set off. At each stop the car stays nearby — either parked or in a position from which it can collect you within a minute of a call.

You do not need to plan the whole day in advance. Most clients give the first two addresses and decide the rest as they go. It helps, though, to say two things up front: roughly when you expect the engagement to end, and whether there is a stop outside Sofia, because that goes into the calculation.

If the day runs longer than planned, tell the driver in good time — extra time is arranged on the spot, as long as the schedule allows. It is not guaranteed that the car is free indefinitely after the agreed finish.

Outside Sofia

Hourly hire is not limited to the city boundary. Common directions for a full-day engagement from Sofia:

  • Plovdiv and the Old Town — about two hours each way
  • Rila Monastery, with a stop for lunch
  • Borovets, Bansko and Pamporovo in winter
  • Koprivshtitsa, Velingrad, Melnik
  • Industrial zones around Bozhurishte, Kostinbrod and Elin Pelin

For longer distances and for journeys to neighbouring countries — Belgrade, Skopje, Thessaloniki, Bucharest — a separate quote is prepared. There, a transfer with a fixed price for the route is usually a better fit than an hourly rate. For such journeys an S-Class or V-Class on request is often chosen.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum period?

Hourly hire makes sense from a few hours upwards. For a single journey from address to address, choose a transfer — it will work out better.

Can I change the route as I go?

Yes, within Sofia and the agreed period. If a stop well outside the city comes up, say so in advance so the price can be settled.

Will it be the same driver all day?

For a full-day engagement it is normal for one driver to cover the whole period. We do not commit to a specific name or a specific car — we confirm the class you booked.

What happens if I am late for the start?

The period runs from the agreed start time. Call if you are going to be delayed — in most cases we simply move the end of the engagement, as long as the schedule allows.

Can we pay per passenger?

No. The price is for the car. How you split it between passengers is your decision.

How far ahead should I book?

Technically, at least 3 hours. In practice, for a full day and especially for a car on request, book at least a day or two earlier.
